To the United Nations and the rest of the world: Though it is necessary to discuss the potential of nuclear terrorism and its countermeasures, do not believe that we are bringing ourselves any closer to a world dominated by peace, justice, and goodwill towards others. At the very least, the fact that such a discussion is necessary should only foreshadow how badly all this will end. Countermeasures merely bear witness to how late we are and how much we should have done. We reaped profits when we should have sowed kindness. We proved dogmatic when we should have shown grace. We, who unrelentingly profess love as supreme of all virtues, did nothing but hate when love was most needed. Injustice is not so much a result of evil men perpetrating evil actions as it is a symptom of selfishly indifferent people not doing that which they should--myself included.
